Emergency Preparedness is NOT just for Adults!
Are Your Kids Ready?

Lets talk about this.
I watched that show on the discovery channel. What is it...
Doomsday Preppers I think. Anyway, these parents were,
in my opinion teriffying their very young children with tales
of disctuction. While I agree that it IS important to prep
your children to survive, how far do we go? I think this is a
great question.

How much do we tell our children
and how prepared should they be?

Do whats right come what may. It is time to act, are you? Mobilize, vote & Prepare while you still can. Tomorrow might be to late. God Speed my friends.

I feel I don't have a choice. Things are looking very ugly with this
current president. Though I don't want to freak my kids out, I do
want them to be 100% ready if the SHIFT happens. I am not
convinced he will step down if he looses the election. I know that
seems extreme, but all in all, its is for the first time in any US
history I know if a possible reality.

I Wont have my kids running around freaked out, starving and
not knowing what to do if there is a real emergency. Even if there
is not now, maybe later in life they will need it.

Now, about freaking my kids out,, no way. There is a way to do things
The bible talks about discernment. I wish we all had it but they dont :(
Just do it with love and tact.

Any other ideas? Im not sure how to totally spell this out

I believe all kids should learn why we prepare and what to do in an emergency. I had all my boys in Boy Scouts and they learned the basics of survival and preparedness. As they grew we had discussions of what is going on in the world and all the would ifs. Now that they are older and can discern like adults they have all learned what to do in the what ifs. We also believe that you must take care of family and the sick and elderly(those who can not take care of themselves). I have a daughter with severe cerebal palsy and her brothers are very protective of her. In our plans we have had to come up with ways to deal with her concerns. She doesn't understand what is happening but loves camping and fishing.
In some ways them being in scouts has helped ready the boys for the up coming times. In all things- Teach with love, patience, and discernment.
